Do you have what it takes to write, shoot, edit and score a film in just 48 hours? Then this is the competition for you! This wild and sleepless competition is open to everyone that is up for the challenge, regardless of age or filmmaking experience.

The competition takes place over the weekend of 2-4 November. At exactly 7 pm on the Friday, filmmaking teams will receive a genre and a prop, character and line of dialogue that must be in their films. Minutes later they will race off to produce their films, dropping them back off no later than 7:30 pm on Sunday.

All submitted films are screened at the GU Film House on November 13 & 14, and an Awards Night will be held on Saturday, 24 November. The best film from Adelaide will win a $1,000 cash prize and will go on to compete against 48HFP films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2019 for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2019, Court Métrage.

The 48 Hour Film Project is not only a great learning experience and a way to get your films seen both locally and internationally, but it is also incredibly fun.
